To provide an automatic carrying forklift capable of inserting a fork into an insertion port without any trouble even when the direction of the insertion port of a pallet is deviated from a reference direction while suppressing an increase in cost.SOLUTION: A sensor detects an obstacle in front of a vehicle body of an automatic carrying forklift. A control unit controls running of the vehicle body. The control unit calculates the optimal insertion travel route to an insertion port based on the pallet detection results by the sensor while the vehicle is traveling toward the pallet provided with the insertion port, and sets a first reference point along the calculated optimal insertion travel route and a second reference point at a position farther than the first reference point when viewed from the pallet. The control unit causes the vehicle body to travel toward the second reference point. Thereafter, the vehicle body is driven from the second reference point toward the first reference point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】コスト増を抑制しつつ、パレットの差込口の向きが基準となる方向からずれている場合でも、フォークを差込口に支障なく差し込むことができる自動搬送フォークリフトを提供する。【解決手段】センサが、自動搬送フォークリフトの車体の前方の障害物を検出する。制御部が、車体の走行を制御する。制御部は、差込口が設けられたパレットに向かって走行しているときに、センサによるパレットの検出結果に基づいて、差込口への最適な差込走行経路を算出し、算出された最適な差込走行経路に沿って、第1基準点、及びパレットから見て第1基準点より遠い位置に第2基準点を設定する。制御部は、第2基準点に向かって車体を走行させる。その後、第2基準点から第1基準点に向かって車体を走行させる。【選択図】図6
