To provide a rail breakage detection device capable of highly accurately detecting rail breakage from a vehicle body side by using a dimensionless feature parameter.SOLUTION: A rail breakage detection device capable of detecting rail breakage from a vehicle body side, includes: an acceleration sensor 3 mounted on a vehicle 1; a data recorder 4 for recording acceleration data measured by the acceleration sensor; a low-frequency filter processing part for applying low-frequency bandpass filter processing to the acceleration data; a maximum value determination part for comparing a maximum value of an absolute value for a low frequency component extracted by the low frequency filter processing part with an acceleration threshold; a parameter determination part for comparing a dimensionless feature parameter obtained from the low frequency component extracted by the low frequency filter processing part with the threshold; and a breakage determination part for determining the presence/absence of the rail breakage based on determination results of the maximum value determination part and the parameter determination part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】無次元特徴パラメータを使用することで、レール破断を車両側から精度よく検知させることが可能なレール破断の検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】レール破断を車両側から検知させるレール破断の検知装置である。そして、車両1に取り付けられる加速度センサ3と、加速度センサによって測定された加速度データを記録するデータレコーダ4と、加速度データに低周波バンドパスフィルタ処理を施す低周波フィルタ処理部と、低周波フィルタ処理部によって抽出された低周波成分の絶対値の最大値を加速度閾値と比較する最大値判定部と、低周波フィルタ処理部によって抽出された低周波成分から求められる無次元特徴パラメータを閾値と比較するパラメータ判定部と、最大値判定部及びパラメータ判定部の判定結果に基づいてレール破断の有無を判定する破断判定部とを備えている。【選択図】図1
