To provide a seal structure of a door for a motor vehicle which can inhibit protruding of a terminal part of a glass run upper side part under a high temperature atmosphere without deterioration of moldability while improving flexibility of setting of a cross sectional shape and material selection.SOLUTION: A lower wall of a glass run upper side part is provided with a lower wall cutout part which is open to the passenger compartment inner side. A hard member 40 is detachably attached to a rear mold forming part 24. The hard member 40 has: a contact part 42a which contacts with an edge 28bf at the other side as seen in a vehicle fore and aft direction of the lower wall cutout part from one side as seen in the vehicle fore and aft direction; and an engagement part 43 which is inserted through cutout parts 114c, 115c of a glass run attachment plate part 117 and contact with an edge 114cb at one side as seen in the vehicle fore and aft direction of the cutout part 114c from the other side as seen in the vehicle fore and aft direction to engage with the edge 114cb.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16A
