To provide a compact quadruped walking robot that can be used by a user for daily use.SOLUTION: A quadruped walking robot comprises: a main body including a seat on which a person straddles and sits; a handle to be gripped by a person seated on the seat; four legs attached to the main body and capable of flexing motion, each containing two or more joints; a plurality of actuators for driving the joints; an operating device disposed on the handle and accepting inputs of commands relating to operation of the quadruped walking robot; and a controller that controls the plurality of actuators according to the commands accepted from the operating device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
