To provide a propulsion performance enhancement device capable of preventing the generation of swirl flow in a propeller wake flow and of improving propulsion efficiency for a ship comprising a propeller propulsion unit.SOLUTION: For a fin mounted in a front flow of a propeller, the propulsion performance enhancement device corrects more effectively the flow flowing into a propeller in the direction opposite to the swirling direction, reduces the generation of the swirl flow in the wake flow, and improves propulsion efficiency by setting the mounting position of the fin on the side that a propeller ascends, on the upstream side of the mounting position of the fin on the side that the propeller descends.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
