To provide improved transportation system and transportation method.SOLUTION: A transportation system 1 comprise a duct line 20 having a travelling surface 21 formed with a ferromagnetic body and extending from a first level 11 to second levels 12, 13 different from the first level 11 of a building 10, and a travelling body 30 having a magnet M and movable in the duct line 20 along the duct line 20 with the magnet M attached to the travelling surface 21, and a cargo is loaded on the travelling body 30 and the cargo is transported from the first level 11 to the second levels 12, 13.
