To provide a parking mechanism capable of being miniaturized.SOLUTION: A parking mechanism includes: an actuator 70 having a manual shaft 71 extending along a first axis J1 and rotating around the first axis; a flange 90 disposed on an outer periphery of the manual shaft and extending along a radial direction of the first axis; a cam rod 30 having a connection portion 30a connected to the flange, and extending along a second axis J2 orthogonal to the first axis to move along the second axis with the movement of the flange; a coil spring 39; a cam 35 moving along the second axis through the coil spring; a ratchet member 20 having an engagement portion 25 and operated with the movement of the cam; and a parking gear 10 having a tooth portion engaged with the engagement portion. A self-holding torque of the actuator is determined to be larger than torque applied to the manual shaft in maximum compression of the coil spring, so that a plate spring for determining a rotation position of a conventional manual shaft is eliminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
