To predict future traffic situations in a plurality of zones of a road through simple processing.SOLUTION: A traffic situation prediction device comprises: a learning processing unit which generates a prediction model by performing machine learning based on teacher data defining, as input data, past traffic situation data before a past predetermined time point for each group obtained by dividing a plurality of zones resulting from dividing a road where a vehicle travels into groups based on similarity of traffic situation data and defining, as output data, past traffic situation data after the predetermined time point, in which a zone having a higher possibility to be a bottleneck of congestion is weighted heavier among the plurality of zones within a group; an acquisition unit which acquires present traffic situation data collected by a road information collection terminal for each zone; and a prediction processing unit which defines the present traffic situation data as input data for each zone and acquires future traffic situation data as output data based on the prediction model corresponding to a group to which the zone belongs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
