To make a ship maintain a course in a lateral direction desired by a ship operator.SOLUTION: A ship 1 comprises three outboard engines 3, a joystick 7 with a stick 23 for moving the ship in a tilting direction, and a BCU 16 for controlling propulsion power and propulsion direction generated by each outboard engine 3 so as to move the ship 1 in the tilting direction of the stick 23. The BCU 16 moves the ship 1 laterally when the stick 23 is tilted laterally perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the ship 1, and generates the propulsion force in each outboard engine 3 for eliminating the longitudinal deviation from the position of the ship 1 when the stick 23 is tilted. Moreover, the BCU 16 interrupts generation of the thrust eliminating the deviation and generates the propulsion force in each outboard engine 3 according to the longitudinal inclination of the stick 23 when the stick 23 is tilted in the longitudinal direction of the ship 1 while the ship 1 moves laterally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8

    【課題】船舶に操船者が所望する横方向への進路を保持させる。【解決手段】船舶1は、3基の船外機3と、傾倒方向に船舶を移動させるためのスティック23を有するジョイスティック7と、スティック23の傾倒方向へ船舶1を移動させるように各船外機3が発生する推力の大きさと方向を制御するBCU16とを備え、スティック23が船舶1の前後方向に対して直交する横方向へ傾倒された際、BCU16は、船舶1を横方向に移動させるとともに、スティック23が傾倒されたときの船舶1の位置からの前後方向に関するずれを解消するための推力を各船外機3に生じさせ、さらに、船舶1が横方向に移動する間にスティック23が船舶1の前後方向に関して傾倒されると、BCU16は、ずれを解消するための推力の発生を中断し、スティック23の前後方向に関する傾倒に応じた推力を各船外機3に生じさせる。【選択図】図8
