To define a position based on the center of gravity of an occupant in the case that the occupant maintains a stable posture for a threshold time or more as a starting position of a movement distance calculation when a movement distance of the occupant is calculated on the basis of the center of gravity of the occupant corresponding to a target person image detected from each of time series frame image groups obtained by imaging the inside of a cabin.SOLUTION: A center of gravity position detection part 38 detects a position 62 of a center of gravity of an occupant corresponding to a target person image P for each of frame image groups 34 acquired by an imaging device 12. A stable area setting part 40 sets a stable area 64 centering on a position 62a of a center of gravity detected from a temporary reference image 34a. A starting position setting part 42 sets a prescribed position within the stable area 64 as a starting position 66 to be a starting point of the occupant in the case that the position 62 of a center of gravity is determined to exist within the stable area 64 for a threshold time or more on the basis of a position 62b of a center of gravity detected from a plurality of subsequent images 34b following the temporary reference image 34a in time series.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車室内を撮像した時系列のフレーム画像群のそれぞれから検出された対象人物像に対応する乗員の重心位置に基づいて当該乗員の移動距離を演算する際に、当該乗員が閾値時間以上安定した姿勢を保っていた場合における当該乗員の重心位置に基づく位置を移動距離演算の起点位置とする。【解決手段】重心位置検出部38は、撮像装置12が取得したフレーム画像群34のそれぞれから、対象人物像Pに対応する乗員の重心位置62を検出する。安定領域設定部40は、仮基準画像34aから検出された重心位置62aを中心とした安定領域64を設定する。起点位置設定部42は、時系列において仮基準画像34aに後続する複数の後続画像34bから検出された重心位置62bに基づいて、閾値時間以上、重心位置62が安定領域64内にあると判定された場合に、安定領域64内の所定位置を当該乗員の移動距離の起点となる起点位置66として設定する。【選択図】図2
