To provide a deterioration diagnostic device and method of a battery pack which can easily perform startup processing of an engine after performing electric discharge for deterioration diagnosis of a battery pack.SOLUTION: A deterioration diagnostic device of a battery pack comprises an electric discharge unit and an estimation unit. The electric discharge unit executes electric discharge from each cell while measuring the voltage of each of the plurality of cells included in a battery pack mounted on a vehicle. The estimation unit estimates a deterioration degree of the battery pack by using voltage data indicating the transition of the voltage from the electric discharge start voltage to the prescribed electric discharge end voltage for at least one of the plurality of cells. The vehicle further comprises an internal combustion engine and a motor performing startup processing of the internal combustion engine. The battery pack supplies the power to the motor. The electric discharge unit determines whether or not the battery pack becomes unable to supply the power necessary for the startup processing to the motor when the electric discharge is continued during the electric discharge of each cell, and ends the electric discharge before the battery pack becomes unable to supply the power necessary for the startup processing to the motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】組電池の劣化診断のための放電を行なった後にエンジンの始動処理を容易に行なうことができる組電池の劣化診断装置及び方法を提供する。【解決手段】組電池の劣化診断装置が、放電部と、推定部とを含む。放電部は、車両に搭載された組電池に含まれる複数のセルの各々の電圧を測定しながら各セルの放電を実行する。推定部は、複数のセルの少なくとも1つについて放電開始電圧から所定の放電終了電圧までの電圧の推移を示す電圧データを用いて、組電池の劣化度合いを推定する。上記車両は、内燃機関と、内燃機関の始動処理を行なうモータとをさらに備える。上記組電池は、モータに電力を供給する。放電部は、上記各セルの放電中に、放電を継続すると始動処理に必要な電力を組電池がモータに供給できなくなるか否かを判断し、始動処理に必要な電力を組電池がモータに供給できなくなる前に放電を終了させる。【選択図】図3
