To provide an electric power unit in which the rigidity of a housing is increased so that the noise level due to resonance of the housing can be reduced.SOLUTION: An electric power unit 1 includes a motor housing part and a gear housing part in a housing 2. An inverter housing part and an auxiliary machine mounting part are formed on a side wall of the housing 2. The auxiliary machine mounting part 2c is formed of a projection that is formed on one of side walls forming the motor housing part and the gear housing part in the housing and has at least a first vertical surface 2c1 and a first horizontal surface 2c3. On the first vertical surface 2c1 directed to one side in an axial direction of the auxiliary machine mounting part 2c, a first rib 6 that is extended in a horizontal direction is formed. On the first horizontal surface 2c3, of the auxiliary machine mounting part, adjoining the inverter housing part, a second rib 7 that connects the first horizontal surface and the inverter housing part and is extended in a direction perpendicular to the first horizontal surface, is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
