To suppress reduction in travel efficiency during a follow-up travel in a parking lot in automatic valley parking.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an automatic parking system which causes a first vehicle and a second vehicle to perform automatic valley parking in a parking lot by instructing the vehicles. The automatic parking system comprises: a vehicle control unit which causes the second vehicle to perform a follow-up travel with respect to the first vehicle in the parking lot; a stop position setting unit for setting a stop position between the first vehicle and the second vehicle in a case where the second vehicle is performing the follow-up travel with respect to the first vehicle in the parking lot; a speed reduction starting distance calculation unit for calculating a speed reduction starting distance which is a distance between the second vehicle and the stop position for the second vehicle to stop at the stop position; and a target inter-vehicle distance setting unit for setting a target inter-vehicle distance of the second vehicle with respect to the first vehicle during the follow-up travel. The target inter-vehicle distance setting unit sets the target inter-vehicle distance as a distance greater than a sum of a margin distance, which is a distance from the stop position to the first vehicle, and the speed reduction starting distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】自動バレーパーキングにおいて駐車場内の追従走行時の走行効率の低下を抑制することができる。【解決手段】第一車両及び第二車両に対して指示を行うことにより駐車場内の自動バレーパーキングを行わせる自動駐車システムであって、駐車場内で第一車両に対する追従走行を第二車両に行わせる車両制御部と、駐車場内で第一車両に対して第二車両が追従走行を行っている場合に第一車両と第二車両との間に停止位置を設定する停止位置設定部と、第二車両が停止位置で停止するための第二車両と停止位置との距離である減速開始距離を算出する減速開始距離算出部と、追従走行における第二車両の第一車両に対する目標車間距離を設定する目標車間距離設定部と、を備え、目標車間距離設定部は、停止位置から第一車両までの距離である余裕距離と減速開始距離との和より大きい距離として目標車間距離を設定する。【選択図】図5
