To provide a vehicle estimation device capable of accurately estimating the slipperiness of a road surface in front in a traveling direction in advance.SOLUTION: A vehicle estimation device determines a state of a road surface to determine which of a plurality of preset road surface states the state of the road surface belongs to, performs primary identification of a first range of a friction coefficient corresponding to the determined road surface state on the basis of friction coefficient information that is sectioned in advance for each of the plurality of road surface states and held in memory, and the determined road surface state, and narrows down a range of the friction coefficient from the first range to a narrower second range on the basis of the identified first range of the friction coefficient to perform secondary identification of the friction coefficient of the road surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】進行方向の前方における路面の滑り易さを事前に精度良く推定可能な車両の推定装置を提供する。【解決手段】本開示の一形態における車両の推定装置は、路面の状態を判定して予め定めた複数の路面状態のいずれに属するか判定し、メモリに保持された複数の路面状態毎に予め区分された摩擦係数情報と、判定された前記路面状態とに基づいて、判定された路面状態に対応した摩擦係数の第1範囲を一次特定し、特定された摩擦係数の第1範囲に基づいて摩擦係数の範囲を第1範囲から更に狭い第2範囲へ絞り込んで路面の摩擦係数を二次特定する。【選択図】 図1
