To provide a driver state determination method and a driver state determination system which can secure accuracy in state determination while reducing a learning period of time.SOLUTION: A driver state determination system comprises: periphery information obtaining means; vehicle condition obtaining means; a view field image generating part 23 that generates a view field image that appears in a view field of a driver; reference visual line distribution generating means that pre-generates a reference visual line distribution A based on a standard visual line image; an abnormality estimating part 28 that determines whether a driver is abnormal by comparing a visual line behavior distribution B with the reference visual line distribution A corrected using a second correction coefficient β which is learning information; a reliability setting part 27a that sets reliability N as learning data on a view field image for generating the second correction coefficient β; and a learning restricting part 27 that executes learning based on the view field image when the reliability as the learning data is equal to or more than a determination threshold, and restricts the learning based on the view field image when the reliability N as the learning data is less than the determination threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
