To provide a tension adjustment device of a movable handrail capable of continuously maintaining an optimal pressing force for a long period of time and preventing damage when a sudden impact force acts on the handrail during driving.SOLUTION: A tension adjustment device includes: a base plate fixed to a skeleton; one and the other rollers provided with an interval in a moving direction of a movable handrail to abut on the movable handrail; a roller support member supporting the one and the other rollers and freely movable with respect to the base plate; an energizing member energizing the roller support member with a prescribed energization force while facing downward; and a lock mechanism having a locked part provided on the base plate and a locking part provided on the roller support member so as to restrict the movement of the roller support member by locking the locking part with the locked part. The base plate has a turning shaft. The roller support member is freely moved vertically relative to the turning shaft and freely turned around the turning shaft. When the roller support member is turned with respect to the turning shaft, the locking part is locked to the locked part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】最適な押圧力を長期間維持し続けることができ且つ駆動中に急激な衝撃力が作用したときには損傷を防止できる移動手すりの張力調整装置を提供する。【解決手段】張力調整装置は、躯体に固定した基板と、移動手すりの移動方向に間隔をあけて設け、移動手すりに当接する一方及び他方のローラと、一方及び他方のローラを支持すると共に基板に対して移動自在なローラ支持部材と、ローラ支持部材を下方に向けて所定の付勢力で付勢する付勢部材と、基板に設けた被係止部とローラ支持部材に設けた係止部とを有し、係止部が前記被係止部に係止することでローラ支持部材の移動を制限するロック機構と、を備え、基板は回動軸を有し、ローラ支持部材は前記回動軸に対して相対的に上下に移動自在であると共に回動軸回りを回動自在であり、ローラ支持部材が回動軸に対して回動したときに前記係止部が前記被係止部に係止する。【選択図】図2
