To provide a tension adjustment device of a movable hand rail which can maintain an optimal pressing force for a long time and prevent damage when an impulsive force rapidly acts thereon when the device is driven.SOLUTION: A tension adjustment device includes: a substrate fixed to a frame; rollers which contact with a movable hand rail; a roller support member which supports the rollers in a manner that the rollers protrude in a horizontal direction and which can move in a vertical direction relative to the substrate; biasing members which bias the roller support member downward with predetermined biasing force; and lock mechanisms each having an engaged part provided at the substrate and an engaging part provided at the roller support member. The roller support member has a swing supporting point where the engaging part may swing to the substrate side between the engaging part and the roller. When the roller support member receives an upward force exceeding the biasing force of the biasing member from the roller, the roller support member swings relative to the swing supporting point and the engaging part engages with the engaged part to lock movement of the roller support member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】最適な押圧力を長期間維持し続けることができ且つ駆動中に急激な衝撃力が作用したときには損傷を防止できる移動手すりの張力調整装置を提供する。【解決手段】張力調整装置は、躯体に固定した基板と、移動手すりに当接するローラと、ローラを水平方向に突設して支持すると共に基板に対して上下方向に移動自在なローラ支持部材と、ローラ支持部材を下方に向けて所定の付勢力で付勢する付勢部材と、基板に設けた被係止部とローラ支持部材に設けた係止部とを有するロック機構と、を備えている。ローラ支持部材は、係止部とローラとの間に係止部が基板側に向けて揺動可能な揺動支点を有し、ローラ支持部材がローラから付勢部材の付勢力を超える上方の力を受けたときにローラ支持部材が揺動支点に対して揺動して係止部が被係止部に係止して、ローラ支持部材の移動をロックする。【選択図】図2
