To enable both suppressing vibration of vehicle longitudinal acceleration and securing performance of vehicle acceleration/deceleration while reducing the adaption processing amount.SOLUTION: A controller of a vehicle drive unit controls, based on an operation state of the vehicle, a vehicle drive unit which has one or more power sources. The controller includes: a processor; and a storage device. The storage device stores a vehicle longitudinal acceleration prediction model which is a machine learning model whose input is a command torque that is a vehicle drive torque commanded by the vehicle drive unit and whose output is a predicted acceleration that is a predicted value of the vehicle longitudinal acceleration. The processor executes: prediction acceleration calculation processing of calculating to determine the predicted acceleration by use of the vehicle longitudinal acceleration prediction model; and command torque calculation processing of reducing a deviation of the command torque with respect to a target torque that is a target value of the vehicle drive torque based on the operation state, and simultaneously calculating to determine the command torque that minimizes an evaluation function that minimizes a deviation of the predicted acceleration with respect to the target vehicle longitudinal acceleration according to the target torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】適合工数を低減しつつ、車両前後加速度の振動抑制と車両加減速性能とを両立できるようにする。【解決手段】車両駆動ユニットの制御装置は、1つ以上の動力源を有する車両駆動ユニットを車両の運転状態に基づいて制御する。制御装置は、プロセッサと、記憶装置と、を備える。記憶装置は、車両駆動ユニットに指令される車両駆動トルクである指令トルクを入力とし車両前後加速度の予測値である予測加速度を出力とする機械学習モデルである車両前後加速度予測モデルを記憶している。プロセッサは、車両前後加速度予測モデルを用いて予測加速度を算出する予測加速度算出処理と、運転状態に基づく車両駆動トルクの目標値である目標トルクに対する指令トルクの偏差を低減しつつ目標トルクに応じた目標車両前後加速度に対する予測加速度の偏差を最小化する評価関数を最小とする指令トルクを算出する指令トルク算出処理と、を実行する。【選択図】図2
