To provide a cargo handling assistance device having improved operability and a method of controlling the cargo handling assistance device.SOLUTION: A cargo handling assistance device 1 includes a raising/lowering operation unit 16, a motor unit 11, a weight detection unit 12, a position detection unit 13, a storage unit 10a, and a control unit 10. The raising/lowering operation unit 16 raises or lowers a cargo 33. The motor unit 11 drives the raising/lowering operation unit 16. The weight detection unit 12 transmits a weight value applied to the raising/lowering operation unit 16. The position detection unit 13 transmits a delivery value of a locking unit 7. The storage unit stores the weight of the locking unit 7 and the cargo 33 as a registered value. The control unit 10 has balance means 10d and automatic raising/lowering means 10c. The balance means 10d receives the weight value and the registered value, calculates a control value for reducing a difference therebetween to zero, controls the motor unit, and performs the balance control. After the delivery value reaches a preset first delivery value, when the delivery value reaches a preset second delivery value and then a predetermined time elapses, the automatic raising/lowering means 10c immediately raises or lowers the locking unit 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】操作性の改善を図った荷役助力装置及び荷役助力装置の制御方法の提供。【解決手段】昇降作動部16、モータ部11、重量検出部12、位置検出部13、記憶部10a、制御部10を備えた荷役助力装置1である。昇降作動部16は荷役物33の昇降を行い、モータ部11は昇降作動部16を駆動し、重量検出部12は昇降作動部16に加わる重量値を送信し、位置検出部13は係止部7の繰出し値を送信し、記憶部は係止部7及び荷役物33の重量を登録値として記憶し、制御部10はバランス手段10dと自動昇降手段10cとを有し、バランス手段10dは重量値及び登録値を受信してこの差をゼロにする制御値を演算してモータ部を制御してバランス制御を行い、自動昇降手段10cは繰出し値が予め設定された第1の繰出し値に達した後、予め設定された第2の繰出し値に到達して所定の時間が経過した場合、直ちに係止部7を上昇若しくは下降させる。【選択図】図3
