To provide a vehicle travel support control device capable of more smoothly moving a vehicle traveling on a merging lane to a main lane.SOLUTION: A merging determination part 102 calculates a merging position of a merging vehicle VL on the basis of position information and speed information of main lane vehicles VR1, VR2, and position information and speed information of the merging vehicle VL, and map information. The merging determination part 102 extracts a plurality of candidate positions for merging. The merging determination part 102 calculates accelerations generated by the merging vehicle VL if the merging vehicle VL moves to the plurality of respective candidate positions, and selects, as a merging position, a candidate position corresponding to merging acceleration having the smallest absolute value among the plurality of accelerations. A merging plan generation part 103 generates a merging plan to cause the merging vehicle VL to reach the merging position, and the merging control part 104 controls the merging vehicle VL on the basis of the merging plan.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
