To provide a remote control system and method for a work vehicle for performing correct steering control as intended by a remote operator after switching from another mode to a remote operation mode.SOLUTION: A remote control system for a work vehicle comprises: a turning curvature difference detection unit 26 for detecting a difference between an actual turning curvature of the work vehicle and a turning curvature corresponding to a steering angle of simulation steering that a remote operation device 20 comprises when another travel mode is switched to a remote driving travel mode; and a difference control unit 27 that, upon detection of the difference between the turning curvatures exceeding a predetermined value, performs control to transmit an instruction of steering control from the remote operation device to a vehicle control device 10 in a state where the difference is eliminated. Even if the actual turning curvature of the work vehicle is not matched with the turning curvature corresponding to the steering angle of the simulation steering of the remote operation device in timing of the mode switching, the instruction of the steering control is transmitted from the remote operation device to the vehicle control device in a state where the mismatching is eliminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】他モードから遠隔操作モードに切り替えた後、遠隔操作者が意図している通りの正しい操舵制御を行う作業車両の遠隔制御システム及び方法を提供する。【解決手段】作業車両の遠隔制御システムは、他走行モードから遠隔操縦走行モードに切り替えられたときに、作業車両の実際の旋回曲率と遠隔操作装置20が備える模擬ステアリングの操舵角に対応する旋回曲率との差分を検出する旋回曲率差分検出部26と、所定値を超える旋回曲率の差分が検出された場合、当該差分が解消された状態で遠隔操作装置から車両制御装置10に操舵制御の指示が送信されることとなるように制御する差分制御部27とを備える。モード切替のタイミングで、作業車両の実際の旋回曲率と遠隔操作装置の模擬ステアリングの操舵角に対応する旋回曲率とが一致していないことがあっても、その不一致が解消された状態で遠隔操作装置から車両制御装置に対して操舵制御の指示が送信される。【選択図】図2
