To quickly and accurately measure a moving distance and/or moving speed of a movable body which is movable at high speed along a moving path.SOLUTION: A measurement device 110 includes a light transmitting unit for transmitting light irradiating a stationary structure arranged in a first direction parallel to a moving direction of a movable body along a moving path in response to a gate signal generated for every frame of a prescribed period, an image forming unit for forming an image of scattered light from the stationary structure caused by the light on an imaging surface, an imaging unit for taking an optical signal of the scattered light formed on the imaging surface over an exposure period based on the gate signal and converting the optical signal into an electric signal to be imaged, and an image processing unit 240 for generating a gate signal and calculating and transmitting a moving distance and/or a moving speed of the movable body on the basis of the electric signal converted by the imaging system.
