To provide a catalyst deterioration determination device for a saddle-riding type vehicle which can properly secure opportunities to make an action for determining deterioration of a catalyst while inhibiting influence on the riding quality felt by an operator.SOLUTION: A catalyst deterioration determination device is used in a saddle-riding type vehicle having: an engine; a transmission; and a catalyst which purifies exhaust gas. In the catalyst deterioration determination device, a gear ratio of the transmission, an intake state of the engine, and a rotation speed of the engine are acquired as operation states. In the catalyst deterioration determination device, multiple operation state conditions, under which an action for determining a deterioration state of the catalyst is allowed to be made, are prestored as allowable conditions based on a relationship among the gear ratio of the transmission, the intake state of the engine, and the rotation speed of the engine. Whether ot not the acquired operations states satisfy the allowable conditions is determined. When the multiple operation states satisfy the allowable conditions, the action for determining the deterioration state is made. When the multiple operation states do not satisfy the allowable conditions, the action for determining the deterioration state is not made.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】運転者の乗り心地に与える影響を抑制しつつ触媒の劣化判定動作の実施の機会を適切に確保することが可能な鞍乗型車両用の触媒劣化判定装置を提供する。【解決手段】触媒劣化判定装置は、エンジンと、変速機と、排出ガスを浄化する触媒とを有する鞍乗型車両に用いられる。触媒劣化判定装置においては、変速機のギア比、エンジンの吸気状態およびエンジンの回転速度の各々が運転状態として取得される。触媒劣化判定装置には、触媒の劣化状態の判定動作の実施が許容される複数の運転状態の条件が変速機のギア比とエンジンの吸気状態とエンジンの回転速度との関係に基づいて許容条件として予め記憶されている。取得された複数の運転状態が許容条件を満足するか否かが判定される。複数の運転状態が許容条件を満足する場合に劣化状態の判定動作が実施され、複数の運転状態が許容条件を満足しない場合に劣化状態の判定動作が実施されない。【選択図】図5
