To provide a power generation device which prevents the effect of regenerative brake from becoming insufficient.SOLUTION: A power generation device comprises: a generator (50) which is rotated to generate power by drive power of an internal combustion engine connected to driving wheels of a vehicle; a rectification circuit (52) by which AC power outputted from the generator (50) is converted into DC power and outputted; a DC-DC converter (65) which is connected to the rectification circuit (50) and by which the DC power outputted from the rectification circuit (50) is stepped down and supplied to a first load (70); a second load (60) which is connected to the rectification circuit (52) in parallel with the DC-DC converter (65); a second current regulation element (61) for regulating a second current to be supplied from the rectification circuit (52) to the second load (60); and a control unit (21) which executes regenerative brake control for regulating the second current by means of the second current regulation element (61) in such a manner that the second current becomes a predetermined brake command current when braking the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
