To provide a battery management system for an electric vehicle and an electric vehicle that optimize control of the vehicle according to a deterioration state of a battery.SOLUTION: A battery management system for an electric vehicle has: a plurality of client vehicles V1, V2, V3 having a battery for traveling; and a server 400 capable of communicating with the electric vehicles. Each of the electric vehicles has a battery control unit that functions as a deterioration state detection unit and a use state detection unit. The server 400 has: a battery information storage unit 420 that stores information obtained from the plurality of electric vehicles; a battery deterioration estimation map generation unit 430 that estimates a future deterioration state of the battery of a particular electric vehicle, based on the information stored in the battery information storage unit 420; and a client vehicle management unit 410 that, for the electric vehicle estimated to be deteriorated by a predetermined value or more in terms of the future deterioration state, changes control of the electric vehicle so as to suppress the deterioration of the battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
