To detect, with a simple configuration, a fraudulent modification to a motor control unit.SOLUTION: A motor-assisted bicycle includes: a vehicle speed sensor that detects a vehicle speed of the motor-assisted bicycle; a torque sensor that detects pedaling force of a pedal connected to a crankshaft of the motor-assisted bicycle; a motor that generates assisting force for assisting the pedaling force; a motor control unit that controls the assisting force of the motor according to the pedaling force and the vehicle speed; a threshold determination unit that determines a fraudulence determination threshold, based on the vehicle speed; and a fraudulence detection unit that determines whether a fraudulent modification has been made to the vehicle speed sensor or the torque sensor, by comparing a travel output which is a total amount of the assisting force and the pedaling force of the motor, with the fraudulence determination threshold determined based on the vehicle speed by the threshold determination unit. When the fraudulence detection unit determines that the fraudulent modification has been made, control corresponding to a predetermined fraudulence detection is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
