To provide an electric parking brake device that can restrict an excessive displacement of an output member when an operation interruption request is terminated.SOLUTION: An electric parking brake device effectuates a parking brake when an electric motor is normally driven, and releases the parking brake when the electric motor is reversely driven. A controller for controlling the electric motor executes release control of stopping the drive of the electric motor at a time point when a release threshold time elapses from a time point of determining a contact elimination state where an output of the electric motor is used only for friction of a power transmission mechanism, and stops the drive of the electric motor during execution of the release control when receiving a request for interrupting the release control. Further, the controller executes the release control at termination time point of the interruption request if receiving the interruption request before determining the contact elimination state. On the other hand, the controller executes the release control after driving the electric motor in a normal rotation direction at the termination time point of the interruption request if receiving the interruption request after determining the contact elimination state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】 電動駐車ブレーキ装置において、作動中断要求が終了される際の出力部材の過剰変位を抑制する。【解決手段】 電動駐車ブレーキ装置は、電気モータの正転駆動で駐車ブレーキを効かせ、電気モータの逆転駆動で駐車ブレーキを解除する。電気モータを制御するコントローラは、電気モータの出力が動力伝達機構の摩擦のみに使用される接触解消状態を判定した時点から解除しきい時間を経過した時点で電気モータの駆動を停止する解除制御を実行するとともに、解除制御の実行中に、これを中断する要求を受信した場合に電気モータの駆動を停止する。更に、コントローラは、接触解消状態を判定する前に中断要求がある場合には中断要求の終了時点で解除制御を実行する。一方、接触解消状態を判定した後に中断要求がある場合には中断要求の終了時点で電気モータを正転方向に駆動した後に解除制御を実行する。【選択図】 図7
