To provide an electric parking brake device that can restrict an excessive fastening force when an operation interruption request is terminated.SOLUTION: In application control of effectuating a parking brake, a controller of an electric parking brake device supplies a normal-rotation power-supply amount for normally driving an electric motor from start of power supply to the electric motor until an influence of inrush current of the electric motor is exhausted. Subsequently, the controller supplies the normal-rotation power-supply amount when the normal-rotation power-supply amount is less than an application threshold amount, or stops supplying the normal-rotation power-supply amount when the normal-rotation power-supply amount is equal to or more than the application threshold amount. Then, if receiving a request for interrupting the application control during execution thereof, the controller stops supplying the normal-rotation power-supply amount, and stores a result of confirmation as to whether or not a friction member and a rotary member are in contact. If the friction member and the rotary member are not in contact with each other, the controller executes the application control when the interruption request is terminated. On the other hand, if the friction member and the rotary member are in contact with each other, the controller executes the application control after temporarily reversely driving the electric motor when the interruption request is terminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】 電動駐車ブレーキ装置において、作動中断要求が終了された際の過剰な締付力を抑制する。【解決手段】 電動駐車ブレーキ装置のコントローラは、駐車ブレーキを効かせる適用制御において、電気モータへの通電開始から電気モータの突入電流の影響がなくなるまでは電気モータを正転駆動する正転通電量を供給する。その後は、正転通電量が適用しきい量未満の場合には正転通電量を供給し、正転通電量が適用しきい量以上の場合には正転通電量を停止する。そして、適用制御の実行中に、それを中断する要求がある場合には、正転通電量を停止するとともに、摩擦部材と回転部材とが接触しているか、否かを記憶する。摩擦部材と回転部材とが接触していない場合には、中断要求の終了時点で適用制御を実行する。一方、摩擦部材と回転部材とが接触している場合には、中断要求の終了時点で電気モータを一旦逆転駆動した後に適用制御を実行する。【選択図】 図7
