To provide a cooling structure of a vehicle electric motor capable of efficiently cooling a vehicle electric motor by a cooling duct to further improve the power consumption rate of the vehicle electric motor, and a manufacturing method for efficiently manufacturing the cooling duct.SOLUTION: In a cooling structure of a vehicle motor, in a cooling duct (70) that guides and injects a refrigerant into a vehicle motor (30) to cool the vehicle motor, an arcuate branching pipe portion (72) of the cooling duct (70) is adjacent to a stator coil (33c) of the vehicle motor (30), and an injection port (72j) is arranged so as to face the side surface of the stator coil (33c), and in a manufacturing method of the cooling duct (70), a metal linear cylindrical pipe (70A) is bent into an arc shape except for one end, press-formed, and pressure-welded to form a mounting stay portion, and a plurality of injection ports are drilled in an arcuate portion, and an inlet is drilled at the straight end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】冷却ダクトにより車両用電動機を効率良く冷却して、車両用電動機の電力消費率の更なる向上を図ることができる車両用電動機の冷却構造および該冷却ダクトを効率良く製造する製造方法を供する。【解決手段】冷媒を案内して車両用電動機(30)に噴射して冷却する冷却ダクト(70)は、同冷却ダクト(70)の円弧状分配管部(72)が、車両用電動機(30)のステータコイル(33c)に隣接し、ステータコイル(33c)の側面に噴射口(72j)を向けて配設される車両用電動機の冷却構造である。また、金属製の直線状円筒パイプ(70A)を、一端部を除き円弧状に曲げ加工し、プレス成形し、圧接して取付ステー部を形成し、円弧状部に噴射口を複数穿孔し、直線状端部に導入口を穿孔する冷却ダクト(70)の製造方法である。【選択図】図3
