To realize a structure of a hub unit bearing with which a breakage state of a caulking portion is easily grasped.SOLUTION: A hub 3 is made by uniting and fixing a first hub element 22 and a second hub element 23. The first hub element 22 has an inner ring raceway 11a on the axially outer side on an outer peripheral surface, a center hole 24 at a diametrically center portion, a pressed surface 25 on a side surface on the axially outer side, and a boundary edge portion 56 at a boundary between the center hole 24 and the suppressed surface 25. The second hub element 23 is equipped with a base portion 27 that has the inner ring raceway 11b on the axially inner side on the outer peripheral surface, a fitting shaft portion 28 that extends from a diametrically inner side portion of the base portion 27 toward the axially outer side, and is inserted in the center hole 24 of the first hub element 22, and a caulking portion 29 that is adjacent on the axially outer side of the fitting shaft portion 28 and presses the pressed surface 25. The caulking portion 29 is equipped with a slit 34 communicating a boundary edge portion 56 and the outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
