To more securely prevent a following vehicle from colliding with an own vehicle due to braking of the own vehicle.SOLUTION: A braking control system comprises: obstacle detection means that detects an obstacle lying ahead of an own vehicle; first collision determination means that, based on a detection result of the obstacle detection means, determines whether the own vehicle may collide with the obstacle lying ahead of the vehicle; following-vehicle detection means that detects a following vehicle behind the own vehicle; information acquisition means that acquires information on a maximum deceleration speed set in the following vehicle; second collision determination means that, based on a detection result of the following-vehicle detection means and the information on the maximum deceleration speed of the following vehicle, determines whether the following vehicle may collide with the own vehicle or not; and braking control means that, when the first collision determination means determines that the own vehicle may collide with the obstacle and the second collision determination means determines that the following vehicle may collide with the own vehicle, controls braking means of the own vehicle so that an absolute value of a deceleration speed of the own vehicle does not exceed an absolute value of the maximum deceleration speed of the following vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】自車両の制動により後続車が自車両に追突するのをより確実に防止できること。【解決手段】制動制御システムは、自車両の前方の障害物を検出する障害物検出手段と、障害物検出手段の検出結果に基づき自車両が前方の障害物に衝突するか否かを判定する第1衝突判定手段と、自車両の後続車を検出する後続車検出手段と、後続車に設定された最大減速度の情報を取得する情報取得手段と、後続車検出手段の検出結果と、後続車の最大減速度の情報と、に基づき後続車が自車両に衝突するか否かを判定する第2衝突判定手段と、第1衝突判定手段により自車両が障害物へ衝突すると判定され、かつ、第2衝突判定手段により後続車が自車両へ衝突すると判定された場合、自車両の減速度の絶対値が、後続車の最大減速度の絶対値を超えないよう、自車両の制動手段を制御する制動制御手段と、を備える。【選択図】図2
