To set an appropriate platoon position in platoon travel.SOLUTION: Sensor data of a vehicle is acquired via communication at a network operation center (NOC) and mass estimation of each vehicle is shared. Vehicles to operate in a platoon are organized. On the basis of a relative mass estimation between the vehicles in platoon travel, a head vehicle and a subsequent vehicle are selected, and/or operation of the vehicles in the platoon travel is partially controlled by scaling a command transmitted from the head vehicle to the subsequent vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
