To provide a vehicular drive system using a traveling motor in which the output of the motor is increased and the potential of the system is sufficiently exerted, while suppressing increases in vehicle weight and costs.SOLUTION: With batteries Batt1 and Batt2 connected in series, a connection node is grounded. An inverter 15a is controlled in operation so as to make motor drive voltage higher than the output voltage of each battery Batt1, Batt2.
