To provide a method for manufacturing a hub unit bearing that can improve efficiency for processing a caulking part.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a hub unit bearing includes the steps of: arranging a hub ring 22 so that a central axis of the hub ring 22 is coaxial or in parallel with a reference axis C while supporting the hub ring to be movable in a radial direction of the hub ring 22; and rotating a force plunger 31 having an auto-rotating axis α inclined relative to the reference axis C about the reference axis C while pressing the force plunger 31 to an axial inner end part of the hub ring 22 to process the axial inner end part of the hub ring 22 into a caulking part 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
