To provide an auxiliary drive device which can inhibit a brake force from being generated due to a shortage in an oil amount and prevent damage of a motor even if a vehicle is towed by a traction vehicle at a speed exceeding a speed that is a use limit of an auxiliary drive motor in the auxiliary drive device.SOLUTION: A hydraulic circuit 6 is formed as a closed circuit by an advancement passage 61 which allows an advancement port 41 and an auxiliary drive motor 5 to communicate with each other, a reverse passage 62 which allows a reverse port 42 and the auxiliary drive motor 5 to communicate with each other; and a bypass passage 63 which allows the advancement passage 61 and the reverse passage 62 to communicate with each other. The bypass passage 63 includes a bypass valve 66 which blocks flow of a working fluid when a vehicle is driven to move forward and rearward and braked and releases the flow of the working fluid when the vehicle is in neutral.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
