To provide a travel route calculation method with which it is possible to continue with self-driving as much as possible.SOLUTION: Provided is a travel route calculation method executed by the computer of a vehicle in which a self-driving system is installed. This method includes the steps of: storing the number of targets detected in the surroundings of the vehicle at each position on a route at traveling time of the vehicle in a storage unit in association with position information that indicates positions where the targets were detected and temperature information that indicates increments of the temperature of a processor before and after a prescribed process is carried out with regard to the detected targets; deriving, when self-driving starts, the upper-limit number of targets with which the self-driving can be continued, on the basis of a difference value between the current temperature of the processor and a permissible upper-limit temperature preliminarily set to the processor, and the temperature information stored in the storage unit; creating a route where the targets detected at positions being passed through are less than or equal to the upper-limit number, on the basis of the position information stored in the storage unit; and proposing the created route as a self-driving travel route.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
