To smoothly carry out operation changeover to increase the number of engines without lowering speed of a vessel in a multiple machine uniaxial vessel propulsion system.SOLUTION: A multiple machine uniaxial vessel propulsion system 1 includes: a propeller 3; a first engine E1 for driving the propeller through a first clutch CL1; and a second engine E2 for driving the propeller through a second clutch CL2. When the propeller is driven by carrying out speed adjustment control of the first engine at first rotational speed, rotational speed of the second engine has speed adjustment carried out at second rotational speed which is higher speed than the first rotational speed, and transition to multiple machine coaxial propulsion is carried out by engaging the second clutch while applying restriction to speed adjustment control of the second engine. Number of driving engine is capable of being safely increased without generating any rapid load variation while maintaining load state of the engine. Deterioration in speed rising along with an increase in the number of engines is solved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】多機一軸船推進システムにおいて、機関数を増大させる運転切替えを船舶の速力を低下させずに円滑に行なう。【解決手段】本システム1は、プロペラ3と、プロペラを第1クラッチCL1を介して駆動する第1機関E1と、プロペラを第2クラッチCL2を介して駆動する第2機関E2を備える。第1機関を第1回転速度で調速制御してプロペラを駆動している際、第2機関の回転速度を第1回転速度より高速の第2回転速度で調速制御し、第2機関の調速制御に制限を加えつつ第2クラッチを嵌合し多機一軸推進に移行する。機関の負荷状態を維持しながら急激な負荷変動を生ぜずに、駆動機関数を安全に増加させられる。機関台数の増加に伴う速力の低下が解消される。【選択図】図1
