To provide a pneumatic tire that can detect anomaly at low cost with a relatively simple configuration, and to provide a tire assembly.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire T1 includes: a tread part 40 coming into contact with a road surface; a pair of bead parts 10 locked to a wheel W; and a tire side part 50 provided between the tread part and the bead part. The pneumatic tire further includes: an electrically conductive polymer layer 100a formed at the whole surface or part of a tire inner surface in a circumferential direction and having flexibility; and an electrode 150 for energizing the electrically conductive polymer layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
