To provide a fogging removal device capable of automatically removing fogging inside a transmissive window of a photo-electronic device constituting an automatic operation system for a passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: A fogging removal device 40 removes fogging inside a transmissive window 34 that allows passage of the light emitted or received by a photo-electronic device 30 constituting an automatic operation system 20 for an escalator 10. The fogging removal device is located in a case 31 constituting the photo-electronic device 30 and comprises a warm air blower 41 to blow out warm air along the transmissive window 34 from above the transmissive window 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
