To provide a vehicle height control device which allows for reduction of discomfort of an occupant when a vehicle moves over a projected portion of a road surface.SOLUTION: A vehicle height control device comprises: a projected portion detection unit 12 detecting a projected portion of a road surface in front of a vehicle 1 and detecting the height of the projected portion; at least one vehicle height detection unit 13 detecting, as a vehicle height, distance between the vehicle height detection unit and the road surface in a direction perpendicular to the road surface; a front vehicle height actuator 2 changing the vehicle height at the front of the vehicle 1; a rear vehicle height actuator 3 changing the vehicle height at the rear of the vehicle 1; and a vehicle height control unit 4 changing the height of a vehicle body lower portion from the road surface higher than the height of the projected portion of the road surface when the vehicle 1 passes through the projected portion of the road surface, and controlling at least one of the front vehicle height actuator 2 and the rear vehicle height actuator 3 so that the changed height is maintained while the vehicle passes through the projected portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
