To provide a method of manufacturing a fiber and resin-coated cord capable of suppressing generation of cavity portions not existing an adhesive resin in inner parts of a reinforced cord in comparison to a case of forming a reinforced cord by filling a molten resin from outside among a plurality of metal element wires, and a method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire.SOLUTION: A fiber includes a plurality of metal element wires, and a plurality of resin element wires formed with a thermoplastic resin. An adhesive resin for bonding a plurality of metal element wires is formed with a molten resin obtained by melting a resin element wire when heating the fiber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】複数の金属素線間に溶融した樹脂を外から充填することで補強コードが形成される場合と比して、補強コードの内部に接着樹脂が存在しない空洞部分が生じるのを抑制することができる繊維、樹脂被覆コードの製造方法、及び空気入りタイヤの製造方法を得る。【解決手段】繊維は、複数の金属素線と、熱可塑性の樹脂で形成された複数の樹脂素線とを備えている。この繊維を加熱することで樹脂素線を溶融させ、溶融した樹脂よって複数の金属素線を接着する接着樹脂が形成される。【選択図】図4
