To provide a battery cooling device capable of improving accuracy of refrigerant leakage detection.SOLUTION: A battery cooling device cools a battery 1 by circulating refrigerant between the battery 1 and a heat exchanger 3 mounted on a vehicle. The battery cooling device comprises: an inlet pressure sensor 5; an outlet pressure sensor 5; temperature sensors 4 and 5; and a control device 10. The inlet pressure sensor 5 detects an inlet pressure P1 of the refrigerant flowing into the battery 1, meanwhile, the outlet pressure sensor 6 detects an outlet pressure P2 of the refrigerant flowing out from the battery 1, and the temperature sensors 5 and 6 detect temperature of the refrigerant. The control device 10 calculates a differential pressure A between the inlet pressure P1 and the outlet pressure P2, and determines that the refrigerant is leaking when an absolute value of the differential pressure | A | is larger than a reference value C that is set according to the temperature of the refrigerant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】バッテリー冷却装置に関し、冷媒の漏出検知精度を向上させる。【解決手段】車両に搭載されるバッテリー1と熱交換器3との間に冷媒を循環させることでバッテリー1を冷却するバッテリー冷却装置において、入口圧センサー5と出口圧センサー5と温度センサー4,5と制御装置10とを設ける。入口圧センサー5は、バッテリー1に流入する冷媒の入口圧P1を検出し、出口圧センサー6、バッテリー1から流出する冷媒の出口圧P2を検出し、温度センサー5,6は、冷媒の温度を検出する。制御装置10は、入口圧P1と出口圧P2との差圧Aを算出するとともに、冷媒の温度に応じて設定される基準値Cよりも差圧の絶対値|A|が大きい場合に冷媒が漏出していると判定する。【選択図】図1
