To increase the degree of freedom in vehicle design.SOLUTION: A battery 30 for electric vehicles includes: a battery cell 42; an input/output component 46 to the battery cell 42; and a battery case 40 which includes a main housing part 54 housing the battery cell 42 at the inside thereof and a sub housing part 56 housing the input/output component 46 at the inside thereof, the main housing part 54 and the sub housing part 56 being adjacent in a first direction D1, the sub housing part 56 having a smaller width in a second direction D2 orthogonal to the first direction D1 than the main housing part 54 in the outer shape, and which also includes a recess 58 consisting of adjacent outer surfaces of the main housing part 54 and the sub housing part 56; and a connector 60 provided to the recess 58 of the battery case 40 to be electrically connected to the input/output component 46.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
