To provide a vehicle approach reporting device that reports the presence of obstacles even when road conditions change.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a vehicle approach reporting device. The device includes: a radar unit that can detect obstacles located within a detection range on the rear side of a vehicle; a control unit that can change the size of a left detection range and a right detection range obtained by dividing the detection range of the radar unit; a reporting unit that reports the existence of the obstacles to a driver of the vehicle when the radar unit detects the obstacles; and an information acquisition unit that acquires travel classification information of the vehicle. The control unit changes the size of the left and right detection ranges according to the travel classification information. The control unit can also execute any one of a plurality of detection range setting programs for changing the size of the left and right side detection ranges according to the travel classification information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両用接近報知装置において、道路状況が変化する場合であっても障害物の存在を適切に報知する。【解決手段】本発明は、車両用接近報知装置に関する。かかる装置は、車両の後側側方の検出範囲内に位置する障害物を検出可能とするレーダ部と、レーダ部の検出範囲をそれぞれ分けた左側及び右側検出範囲の大きさを変更可能とする制御部と、レーダ部が障害物を検出した場合に、車両の運転者に障害物の存在を報知する報知部と、車両の走行区分の情報を取得する情報取得部とを有し、制御部が、走行区分の情報に応じて左側及び右側検出範囲の大きさを変更する。また、制御部は、走行区分の情報に応じて、左側及び右側検出範囲の大きさを変更する複数の検出範囲設定プログラムのうちいずれか1つを実行することもできる。【選択図】図1
