To provide an automatic operation control device that can perform alternate switching between a high-level automation mode and a basic mode at appropriate timing.SOLUTION: An automatic operation control device, which is mounted on a vehicle, comprises a surrounding-information acquiring part, an operation mode setting part and an automatic control part. The operation mode setting part, if a preset basic mode-switching condition is satisfied when an operation mode of the vehicle is set to a high-level automation mode, switches the operation mode of the vehicle to a basic mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
