To provide a novel travel gear having enhanced operability and working efficiency without increasing in size.SOLUTION: A travel gear 100 according to the present invention includes: a fork 1 movable relative to a load 300, having one end side 1A supported by a body 6 and the other end side 1B protruding from the body, and configured to carry the load by inserting the other end side to the load 300; a rotary body 3 attached via a link mechanism to the other end side of the fork such that a relative position to the fork changes; an auxiliary rotary body 4 disposed at least on one side of the rotary body in an insertion direction of the fork and a draft direction of the fork and likely to be brought to a position relatively lower than the rotary body when the fork is moved downward; and step detection means 17 disposed at least on one side of the auxiliary rotary body in the insertion direction of the fork and the draft direction of the fork and configured to detect a step 303 disposed at the load.
