To reduce loads when a driver operates an accelerator pedal.SOLUTION: A speed control device 1 includes: a detection unit 121 that detects the pressed amount of an accelerator pedal 2 of a vehicle V; an acceleration determination unit 122 that determines target acceleration for the vehicle depending on the pressed amount detected by the detection unit 121; and an output control unit 123 that controls a power unit 4 of the vehicle V so that the acceleration of the vehicle is brought into the target acceleration determined by the acceleration determination unit. When the detection unit 121 detects that the pressed amount decreases and then becomes zero, the acceleration determination unit 122 determines target acceleration to be zero.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
