To provide a method for manufacturing a power transmission shaft capable of connecting a pipe body and a connection member with a simple structure and reducing a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a power transmission shaft comprising a fiber-reinforced plastic pipe body 2 having a closure part 8 with at least one end closed, and a stub shaft 4 connected to the end part of the pipe body 2, comprises a preparation step of preparing the pipe body 2, a pushing step of pushing the stub shaft 4 into the closure part 8 after the preparation step, and a curing step of curing the closure part 8 after the pushing step.
