To calculate the load acting on a crane accurately at a low cost.SOLUTION: A load calculating device comprises a supply current value acquisition unit that acquires a supply current value supplied to an electric motor that drives at least a part of a crane, an acceleration current value calculation unit that calculates an acceleration current value that contributes to the acceleration based on the rotational acceleration for accelerating the rotation of the electric motor and an estimated inertia of the crane, and a load calculation unit that calculates a load acting on at least a part of the crane based on the supply current value and the acceleration current value when the rotation of the electric motor accelerates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
