The invention discloses a load automobile mass calculation method and device, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining load automobile information data, and extracting calculation parameters, the load automobile information data comprising automobile basic parameters, dynamic driving data and road environment data; performing precision processing on the dynamic driving data to generate an optimal parameter value; a longitudinal dynamic model is constructed, an automobile quality algorithm is generated and optimized, and the optimization process comprises the step of replacing fixed parameters with dynamic parameters; and the optimal parameter value and the calculation parameter are substituted into an automobile mass calculation algorithm, and the load automobile mass is calculated. Through the scheme provided by the invention, accurate quality data can be calculated, and the problem that vehicle quality identification is constrained by environmental conditions and test equipment is also solved.
